2012 EOS is a new 5-passenger convertible equipped with a retractable hardtop-roof, which features a built-in sunroof. It has been made available in 3-main trim levels, including base Komfort, Lux, and top-end Executive.
In the following sections, we will discuss about the new EOS Executive model in particular.
New 2012 Changes
The new 2012 EOS front fascia looks much similar to the new Jetta model, while the interior cabin has gained many new options including the company’s future generation infotainment system and climate controls.
A standard 2.0-liter inline 4-cylinder turbo-charged power-train is used to drive the new 2012 Executive model, which can result in an output of 200-horsepower and torque of 207 lb-ft.
The generated engine output power is transferred on to the wheels with the help of a standard 6-speed DSG system. The company estimates that this new model has the ability to sprint from 0 to 60 miles per hour in just 7.3-seconds.
Fuel Economy Details
2012 EOS Executive model is said to have the potential to achieve a fuel mileage rating of around 22 miles per gallon in the city limits, 30 miles per gallon during highway driving, and combined 25 mpg.
In IIHS crash testing, the new vehicle has been able to earn top-rating for both side-impact and frontal-offset tests. The important standard safety options include pop-up overturn bars, traction and stability control, ABS, and complete set of safety airbags.
2012 Volkswagen EOS Executive has been made available with a base MSRP that starts at $39,220.
